Here's a video clip of Godzilla as promised on Monday's class! It features all the staples of a Japanese monster movie (kaiju eiga/怪獣映画): streams of terrified people running for their lives, the anti-hero godzilla ambling its(his?) way destructively across densely populated areas, furrow browed scientists engaged in hyper-serious discussions, cool hiragana characters flashing on the screen and of course, enthusiastic commentary as the action unfolds!

I watched this awesome flick over the weekend. Brought tears to my eyes (again) towards the end when our loser friend, shinji, pulled open the entry plug to find out if rei was okay. "nani ka tereno?" well, i terenoed too.
